Day 2

After breakfast, we will begin our journey to Swat, arriving at Mingora in the late afternoon. Famous for its shopping and mineral reserves, this commercial hub of Swat is where we will be taking lunch for the day. In the evening, we will be heading to Fizagat Park, a popular recreational spot on the bank of the Swat River where we will check in to our hotel for the night. Overnight stay in Fizagat Park.

Day 3

Today, we will make our way to Marghazar. a hill station nestled at the centre of some of the country’s most scenic mountain valleys and forestry. After exploring this landscape, we will head to the White Palace located on Marghazar Hill and once used by the Wali of Swat as his summer residence. Cut from the same marble as the Taj Mahal, this grandiose building sits in beautiful gardens and has a rich history that was enjoyed by Queen Elizabeth II on a visit to Swat. After lunch, we will head to Malam Jabba, a ski-resort which is situated on top of the Hindukush Range and set in the stunning vistas of the Swat Valley. Overnight stay in Malam Jabba.

Day 4

In the morning, we will head to Behrain, literally translated to “Two Rivers” due to its location at the meeting of both the Daral and Swat rivers. This hill station is renowned for its handicrafts such as jewellery and the majority of the buildings here have been constructed out of wood. After lunch in Behrain, we will make our way to Kalam Valley, located in upper Swat and known for its shimmering lakes, roaring waterfalls and vast green pastures which along with the wildlife add to its unique beauty. After some sightseeing, we will enjoy a BBQ against the backdrop of the starry skies in the night. Overnight stay in Kalam Valley.

Day 5

After an early start, we will head to Mahodand Lake, a favourite amongst nature and peace lovers and the perfect spot to carry out some boating and trout fishing which is a speciality in this area. Arriving by jeep, these surroundings are famous for their unimaginable natural beauty with majestic views, which unfold with each mile you pass. We will be stopping every so often to capture its spectacular scenery and to soak in the beauty of this stunning landscape, which has small villages scattered across the mountains and is shadowed by a canopy of tall cedar trees. In the evening, we will return to Kalam Valley for dinner. Overnight stay in Kalam Valley.

Day 6

Today, we will drive towards Madyan, a beautiful town dotted with small mud and concrete houses and which offers an ethereal view of the transparent and colourless waters than run through it. From here, we will visit Trout Park at Chail, renowned for its delicious trout fish with travellers visiting from far and wide to try this speciality. After taking lunch here, we will continue on our journey towards Bagh Derai and then to Islamabad. In Islamabad we will see some of the sights the capital has to offer such as the Faisal Mosque, which is nestled at the foot of the Margalla Hills and inspired by strong Islamic cultural characteristics.
