Motorbike Hunza Valley Tour – 9 Days
Day 1
- Arrive at the Meeting Point/Islamabad Airport where you will be received by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. With some flights arriving in the late afternoon, guests can relax for the rest of the evening in anticipation of the busy and active itinerary ahead.
- In the evening, we will have a briefing for the trip ahead during the welcome dinner.
- Overnight stay in Islamabad.
Day 2
- Today, guests will be allocated their motorbikes and the first part of the trip will begin as we head to Besham/Naran. Our first destination will be dependent on variables such as weather, traffic and road conditions.
- If the route to Besham is clear, we will explore the towns of Haripur, Abbottabad and Mansehra on the way whilst riding parallel to the Indus River on the Karakoram Highway.
- If the route to Naran is clear, we will begin our tour by exploring the glaciers, lakes and lush green Alpine forest of the Kaghan Valley.
- Overnight stay in Besham/Naran.
Day 3
- After an early breakfast, we will head to Hunza Valley, situated in the extreme northern part of Pakistan and deep within the Karakoram Range.
- Riding in the spectacular mountain surroundings, guests will be provided with the opportunity to stop and sightsee at nearby towns and valleys along the way.
- Overnight stay in Karimabad, Hunza Valley.
Day 4
- Starting with a mesmerizing view of the Rakkaposhi Peak from our hotel in Karimabad, we will head to Baltit Fort, once the prime seat of power and now a UNESCO site with a rich history that can be traced back to over 700 years ago.
- Next, we will take a private tour of the dungeons at Altit Fort which is situated in the revered Royal Gardens of Hunza where lush apricot trees and cherry blossoms are plentifum.
- Later, we will ride to Duikar’s vantage point to witness the sun set over the Karakoram Range in the company of 6 giant peaks that extend 6,000m above sea level.
- Overnight stay in Karimabad, Hunza Valley.
Day 5
- After breakfast, we will venture out to try the famous apricot cake of Hunza Valley against the backdrop of the majestic Passu Cones.
- Today we will be heading to Khunjerab Pass, riding past the famous Attabad Lake with its dizzyingly turquoise waters, through the newly constructed Pak-China friendship tunnels and across the Wildlife Conservation Area in Khyber where you can go wildlife spotting for ibex, snow leopards and marmots.
- At the Khunjerab Pass, the highest border-crossing in the world which is situated over 4,000m above sea level, guests will have the opportunity to engage in an enchanting multi-cultural experience that spans across Pakistan and China.
- After spending some time at the international border, we will retreat to Sost to check out the local street markets before heading to Passu.
- Overnight stay in Karimabad, Hunza Valley/ Passu.
Day 6
- Today we will be riding to Besham/Naran depending on which route we arrived on and on variables such as weather, traffic and road conditions.
- If the route to Besham is clear, we will explore the towns of Haripur, Abbottabad and Mansehra on the way whilst riding parallel to the Indus River on the Karakoram Highway.
- If the route to Naran is clear, we will end our tour by exploring the glaciers, lakes and lush green Alpine forest of the Kaghan Valley and taking in the elevated Babusar Top which will be reach via one of the most famous hairpinned roads in the world.
- Overnight stay in Besham/Naran.
Day 7
- Following breakfast we will continue our journey back to Islamabad whilst taking in the staggering mountain scenery, the rough terrains of the road and the welcoming people in the neighbouring villages along the way.
- Overnight stay in Islamabad.
Day 8
- Today, we will visit the twin-cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
- Islamabad is a modern capital city and we will be exploring some of the sights the capital has to offer such as the Faisal Mosque which is nestled at the foot of the Margalla Hills and time permitting, Daman-e-Koh, a viewing point which offers stunning panoramic views across Islamabad.
- Rawalpindi offers a slice of the real Pakistan with the hustle and bustle of its Raja Bazaar and Moti Bazaar where a story is to be told wherever you look. Experience the exotic smells, taste the local offerings and interact with the locals in a market, which is a full myriad of colours.
- Overnight stay in Islamabad.
Day 9
After a hearty breakfast and a bittersweet farewell, guests will be transferred to Islamabad Airport/Departure Point in time for their respective international flights/pick-up.
