We begin our adventure by heading north to Naran via the Karakoram Highway, part of the ancient Silk Road. Passing through Abbottabad, Balakot, and Kaghan Valley, we reach Naran in the late afternoon. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. Overnight stay in Naran.
Depart early to reach Hunza Valley. Along the way, stop at the stunning Lulusar Lake and continue through the switchbacks of Babusar Top. After a break in Gilgit for lunch, we continue on to Hunza and check in to our hotel in Karimabad. Overnight stay in Hunza.
Explore Baltit Fort, a 700-year-old stronghold of Hunza royalty. Then head to Altit Fort and its historic dungeons, surrounded by lush royal gardens. Visit a local women’s workshop and enjoy walnut cake at Café De Hunza. In the evening, trek up to Duikar viewpoint to witness the sun set behind the snow-covered giants of the Karakoram. Enjoy apricot cake with a view of the Passu Cones before boating on the dazzling Attabad Lake. Continue through Khyber's conservation zone to the Khunjerab Pass—the highest paved international border crossing in the world. On the way back, shop in Sost and brave the Hussaini Suspension Bridge. Journey back to Naran, where we take a jeep ride to Saiful Muluk Lake, a glacial lake nestled under the towering Malika Parbat. Enjoy optional activities like boating or horse riding in this fairy tale-like setting. Overnight stay in Naran.
Return to Islamabad via Balakot, Abbottabad, and Haripur. After hotel check-in, explore iconic sights including the Faisal Mosque and Daman-e-Koh. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at Monal Restaurant in the Margalla Hills. Overnight stay in Islamabad.

You’ll be traveling on the Karakoram Highway, one of the most scenic drives in the world. While most of the route is paved and safe, there may be occasional rough patches. Our private 4x4 transport ensures comfort even on bumpy roads.
We recommend packing layers, including warm clothing for the mountains (especially for nights), comfortable walking shoes, sunblock, a hat, and a good travel camera. From May to October, daytime weather is mild but nights can be chilly in Hunza.

Most travelers don’t experience serious altitude sickness on this tour. The highest point is Khunjerab Pass (15,397 ft), which we visit briefly. We advise staying hydrated, taking it slow, and consulting your doctor if you’re sensitive to high altitudes.
